are often on display here, like a travelogue of tanned beefcake.
I first heard La cucaracha from an old LP my dad had from the
fifties (in HI-FI!) Wikipedia says it's of Mexican or possibly
Spanish origin (it also says it's about marijuana, which didn't
occur to me at age five [or even age 35]). Louis Armstrong thought
it sounded best with a Cuban beat. Notice the 1234-12 (Bo Diddley)
